About KitAxis
What is KitAxis?
A web app for planning work that has to be done right. You write down what “done” means as a list of checks, record evidence against each one, and KitAxis shows what is still missing for the current version of the plan. You can then sign off on that exact version.
Who is it for?
One person who hands work off, or does it with an AI assistant, and wants the checks agreed before the work starts and a record of what was done afterwards. In the beta, each workspace belongs to one account.
Does KitAxis use AI?
No. KitAxis makes no AI model calls with your content and does not use it to train models. The AI assistant you choose does the thinking, under its provider’s terms. You can also connect an assistant to KitAxis; see AI assistants for which ones have been tested.
Does KitAxis do the work or run my plan?
No. KitAxis never runs a plan. It stores the plan and the evidence, and checks that the required evidence is recorded. You, or the tools you choose, do the work.
Does KitAxis check that my evidence is true?
No. Evidence is client-reported; not independently verified by KitAxis. A gate checks that evidence is recorded for a criterion and the criteria it depends on, not what the evidence says. That is why every plan shows this limitation.
What does “Ready” mean?
Ready means complete and evidenced for this revision; not execution approval. Every criterion has evidence, or has been marked not applicable with a written rationale, and a current passing gate. It is not a certification, and it does not authorize anyone to run anything.
What are the levels AP0 to AP4?
Labels you choose to say how much is at stake, from AP0 (negligible) to AP4 (critical). A plan’s mode sets a minimum. Levels are self-declared: they are not certification and do not change what “ready” requires. Lowering a level on an existing plan needs an explicit confirmation.
Joining and using the beta
How do I get access?
Email support@kitaxis.com to ask for an invite. If we can add you, we will send you an invite code for your email address. Invites expire 7 days after they are issued; if yours expires, email us for a new one.
Create an account at app.kitaxis.com with that email, verify it, accept the beta terms, and redeem the code. Lost your code? Sign in with the invited email once it is verified, and choose “Accept invite”. No code is needed.
I didn’t get the verification email.
Check your spam or junk folder for an email from noreply@kitaxis.com. During the beta its subject reads “Verify your email for taskseal-beta” and its link goes to taskseal-beta.firebaseapp.com, our sign-in provider’s address for KitAxis. That is expected.
You can send a new one from the sign-in page with “Resend verification email”. If it still doesn’t arrive, email us.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The beta is free, and there are no paid plans yet. See Beta & pricing for the limits.
Can I connect my AI assistant?
It has been tested end to end with Claude Code. Other assistants that support remote connectors over the Model Context Protocol (MCP) may connect the same way but have not been tested yet. You approve the connection on a KitAxis page, and the assistant can then work with your plans but never approve anything. See AI assistants for the steps.
Can I share a workspace with my team?
Not yet. Each workspace belongs to one account.
Can I edit or delete something I recorded?
Not one item at a time. Plans change by saving a new revision, and evidence is permanent, so the record stays trustworthy. The privacy notice explains what happens to your content if your account is deleted.
Is there anything to download or run on my own server?
No. KitAxis is a hosted web app at app.kitaxis.com. There is no offline or self-hosted version, and there are no installable tools for KitAxis customers today. See Security & data for where it runs.
Is there an API?
No. There is no public API, no API keys and no developer documentation in the beta. You use KitAxis in the web app, or through a connected AI assistant (see AI assistants). To use a plan elsewhere, open it and choose “Export JSON”. The file contains the current revision and its content hash, its evidence, gate results and approvals. Its format may change during the beta.
What happens if the app is down?
The app is checked automatically every 5 minutes, and ProductSeal is alerted when a check fails. There is no public status page during the beta. See Contact for what to do, and what read-only maintenance means.
Which browsers and devices does it work on?
The web app is tested in Chromium, the engine behind Chrome and Edge, at desktop and tablet sizes. Other browsers have not been tested yet. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
On a server in Oracle Cloud’s San Jose region in the United States. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Encrypted backup copies are kept with Cloudflare and Microsoft OneDrive. See Security & data.
What control do I have over my data?
Email support@kitaxis.com. The privacy notice sets out how copies of your data and account deletion are handled during the beta.
Does KitAxis use cookies or trackers?
kitaxis.com sets no cookies and runs no scripts. The web app sets no cookies of its own: to keep you signed in, Google’s Firebase sign-in keeps your session in your browser’s storage until you sign out. There are no analytics or advertising trackers.
Is KitAxis part of Anthropic or OpenAI?
No. KitAxis is operated by ProductSeal. KitAxis is independent of, and not endorsed by, Anthropic, OpenAI or any AI assistant provider.
