Getting started
From an invite to your first plan
The whole path takes a few minutes once you have an invite. Everything happens in the web app at app.kitaxis.com; there is nothing to install.
Ask for an invite
Email support@kitaxis.com and tell us what you would plan in KitAxis. If we can add you, we will send you an invite code for your email address. Invites expire 7 days after they are issued; if yours expires, email us for a new one.
Create your account
At app.kitaxis.com, choose “Create an account” and use the email address your invite was sent to, with a password of at least 12 characters. Open the verification link in the email from noreply@kitaxis.com (check your spam folder; during the beta its subject mentions “taskseal-beta”), then choose “I have verified my email”.
Join the beta
Tick the box to accept the beta terms, then choose “Redeem invite” and enter your code. Lost the code? Choose “Accept invite” instead: no code is needed once your invited email is verified.
Set up a workspace
Create a workspace, then a project inside it. You pick both from lists afterwards; there are no IDs to copy.
Write your first plan
Choose “New plan”. Fill in the outcome, the mode, the level, what may be changed, where the work happens and when to stop. Then add at least one acceptance criterion: what to do, how it will be checked and what evidence to record. Choose “Create plan”.
Record evidence and run the gates
Under “Record evidence”, describe what was done for a criterion. Then evaluate its gate. KitAxis lists what is still missing until the plan shows Ready.
Sign off, if you want to
Choose “Review for approval”, tick the box and re-enter your password to approve that exact revision. The approval expires after an hour. Approving does not check readiness, so confirm the plan shows Ready first.
Take it with you
Choose “Export JSON” on any plan to download it, with its evidence, gate results and approvals.
Good to know
- Every save makes a new revision. Evidence and gate results belong to one revision, so after a change you record evidence and evaluate the gates again.
- Evidence is client-reported; not independently verified by KitAxis.
- Ready means complete and evidenced for this revision; not execution approval.
- “Check my usage”, under “Your data” in the app, shows where you stand against the beta limits.
